General Information:
The Hotel Valley Ho is a former Hollywood hangout located in downtown Scottsdale, approximately
seven miles from Sky Harbor International Airport. This location is also less than a mile from
Fifth Avenue shops, five miles from the Phoenix Symphony Hall, six miles from America West
Arena and the Heard Museum, and eight miles from the Phoenix Civic Plaza. Originally built in
1956 with various elements of Frank Lloyd Wright design, this cosmopolitan property was an
instant staple to the area and became a hotspot for many socialites and Hollywood celebrities
of the time. In the early 1960s, Hollywood favorites Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis stayed at the
hotel for several weeks. Jimmy Durante spent many a night playing the lobby piano. Also,
Natalie Wood and Robert Wagner held their private wedding reception at the hotel in 1957.
