Built in 1883, the Inn has catered to some of the most influential and famous people of this
past century. The Inn is surrounded on both sides by public gardens; the Asticou Azalea
Gardens and the Asticou Terrace Gardens. The grounds of the Inn are surrounded with cutting
gardens and a special Begonia Garden. Upon entering the Inn one feels as though they have
stepped back in time to a place more congenial and pristine. The Inn and its out builds
provides 48 guest rooms and suites, its public rooms are filled with fireplaces and original
antiques.
