Dating from 1905, Basin Park Hotel is a restored, seven-story hotel situated against the
mountainside and located approximately two blocks from the historic City Auditorium and 40
miles from Boone County Airport. One thing that intrigues guests is the fact that every floor
of the Basin Park Hotel is ground level, causing it to be recognized by the Ripley foundation.
This is possible because the Basin Park Hotel is built into the mountain. In the early years,
guests would go out through the different floors and explore the paths in the mountain. 
 Hotel amenities include the sun deck, outdoor pool, Serenity Day Spa, War Eagle Outpost,
Lucky 7 Rooftop Billiards, and Balcony Bar & Restaurant. The hotel also offers room service,
concierge assistance, free or valet parking, shuttle service, and 24-hour front desk service.
Pets are permitted in smoking rooms for 10 per night.
