The Equinox has a fascinating history, not surprising for a resort that has been the
Northeast's destination of choice for generations. Situated on 1,300 acres, between the Green
and Taconic Mountains, The Equinox dates back more than 200 years.  The property features 179
rooms and suites, and is home to The Equinox and The Charles Orvis Inn.  The Equinox main
building houses 139 rooms and suites as well as the Marsh Tavern which dates back to 1769. 
The Charles Orvis Inn is our Concierge level accommodations with 9 luxurious one and two
bedroom suites with full kitchens and living rooms.   The Spa at The Equinox offers year-round
relaxation for our guests with a variety of spa services and treatments.The 75 x 25 indoor lap
pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub are available to our guests from 6am to 8pm. In addition,
the Spa offers daily fitness classes and instruction. Golfing is available from May through
October (or longer weather permitting) on our Golf Course at the Equinox. This 18 hole
championship golf course is located just a 9 iron from the front door of the resort .   The
British School of Falconry, Archery and Orvis Fly-Fishing and Shooting Schools are some of the
activities unique to the property and fascinating to our guests.  What a better way to spend an

Classic Room(Standard Room): Classic Rooms are located throughout the Resort in one of our four buildings. The accommodations vary and may have a queen, king or two beds.

The 1811 House Rooms(Standard Room): The 1811 House has recently joined The Equinox family, and is located diagonally across the street from the main resort. Cupola Suite(Suite): The Cupola Suite features a king bed, a sleeper sofa in the living room and has one bathrooms. The suite features an upstairs living room in the "cupola" with 360 degree views of the area. The bedroom is in the downstairs as is the bathroom. The suites named after some of the resort's most famous guests, are elegantly decorated with antique furnishings. Size ranges from 288 to 452 square feet.

Green Mountain Suite(Suite): The Green Mountain Suite features a king bed, a sleeper sofa in the living room and has one and a half bathrooms. The suite named after the "Green Mountains" that it looks out on; is elegantly decorated with antique fixtures and dark and olive furnishings. Size ranges from 288 to 452 square feet.

Junior Suite(Suite): The Junior Suite is the most spacious room available in the main hotel. The room offers a sitting area with a couch for entertaining. Dormy House: This two-bedroom, two-story suite has one king bed, one queen bed, and a twin pullout sofa. Guests enjoy an over-sized bath with mirrored Jacuzzi tub and shower upstairs, as well as a half bath downstairs. The Dormy House is equipped with a full kitchen and cozy dining area. Its living room is both comfortable and extravagant- adorned with oversized sofa and chairs, dramatic slate flooring, a stereo, cable television, and inviting fireplace. The house also has its own private patio, outdoor furniture, and a gas barbecue grill.

Dormy Suite(Suite): This pleasant, one-bedroom suite provides guests with a comfortable queen bed upstairs and an over-sized bathroom and Jacuzzi tub downstairs. The Dormy Suite also has its own living room with a pullout sofa, TV, VCR, wet bar, and dining area. In the open air, enjoy a private patio equipped with outdoor furniture and a gas barbecue grill.

Townhouse Superior: Superior townhouse rooms are located on the first floor of each townhouse, separate from the main building. Each townhouse is equipped with a queen-sized bed, and access to a patio from which guests enjoy stunning views of the Green Mountains.

Townhouse: One-bedroom townhouses are located on the second floors of each townhouse, separate from the main building. A fully equipped kitchen and extra room make this an ideal accommodation for a family.
