In 1985, the Clocktower Inn was created from the existing structure of a historic 1940s
California-Spanish-style firehouse and Clocktower. The main hall of the firehouse was
transformed into a comfortable lobby with fiber wall hangings, original art, beamed ceilings,
handsome wood furnishings, and a large fireplace. The inn offers complimentary breakfast,
same-day dry cleaning, free local calls, fax, and check cashing. Front desk representatives
are always on hand to offer information regarding dinner reservations, local entertainment,
recreational activities, shopping, and scenic tours. The inn also has meeting facilities. 
 Located in the heart of historic downtown Ventura in a beautiful park setting, the inn is
adjacent to Mission San Buenaventura and the Historical Museum. The state beach, restaurants,
antique shops, boutiques, and county fairgrounds are all within easy walking distance. Ventura
Harbor and Ventura College are three miles away. Downtown Los Angeles is 60 miles away. 
 Each room has air-conditioning, cable television with HBO, coffeemaker, computer modem
hookup, and radio.
