General Information:
The only New Orleans hotel featured in 1000 Places To See Before You Die, the Soniat House
should be on a must see list of all travelers. The Soniat House is a classic of its kind. It
has been lavishly restored and furnished with a lifetime collection of antiques and objets
d*art. The house surrounds lush gardens with lily ponds. Each room expresses its own
character, supremely comfortable and elegant, all competing for one*s attention. Breakfast is
a daily rite - cafe au lait, freshly baked biscuits, and conserves served in one*s suite or in
the garden. For other meals, the concierge, a man of star quality, will recommend where to eat,
where to shop, and how to get there. Everything is at a walking distance. This hotel was built
in 1829 and remodeled in 2005.
