away from home.  Fort Sumner  is located in eastern New Mexico where several major historical
cattle trails have passed nearby. Today still finds Fort Sumner's location on a river,major
railroad line and is at the crossroads of US 60/84 and State Highway 20.  Our 44 room motel is
equipped with wireless high speed internet service in all the rooms. We offer a complimentary
Super Starter Breakfast each morning. We also welcome pets.

Hotel Description:

Located in the majestic San Juan Mountains on Highway 550.  "The San
Juan Skyway" is one of only six All-American Roads designated by the
US Dept. of Transportation.  The Lodge is river rock and cedar on the
exterior with a metal roof.  A large two-story lobby with river rock
fireplace welcomes you.  The rooms are clean and comfortable.  All with
King and Queen beds.  Amenities include: Indoor heated pool, spa, sauna,
complimentary continental breakfast, game room, guest laundry and sundeck.
 The mountain views are spectacular.
