General Information:
Built around Michigan?s largest indoor/outdoor waterpark at over 38,000 feet, the Great Wolf
Lodge is a prime destination for family vacations. Located three miles from downtown, it is
close to family-friendly activities such as the Great Lakes Children's Museum, Clinch Park Zoo
and Grand Traverse Bay. For parents, Black Star Farms & Winery and Turtle Creek Casino are
nearby.
The indoor waterpark features Fort Mackenzie, a four-story 12 level treefort with over 60
guest activated water effects- topped with huge tipping bucket that fills with 1,000 gallons
of water and dumps every few minutes. Once on top, one can escape down one of the 200-foot
body slides or continue to explore the treefort using its cargo netting and suspension
bridges. The waterpark features Howlin Wolf, a family raft slide with two large tube slides,
two body slides, and three kiddie slides. In addition, guests can enjoy a zero-entry
children?s pool with interactive toys, an activity pool with water basketball, two large
oversized hot tubs, and an endless lazy river. In the summer months, one will find Thunder
Bay; an outdoor, oversized activity pool that ranges from zero to four feet deep and is
complete with water basketball and kiddie activities. In addition to indoor waterpark, is an
arcade with over 100 redemption arcade games and Bikos 3-D theater, an interactive virtual
reality game for the entire family.
Located just down the hall is the Cub Club, an activity area designed for parents and children
to do crafts and play. The lodge offers two Northwoods themed family restaurants, Camp Critter
and The Loose Moose Cottage. It also features a waterpark snack bar Spirit Island and the Bear
Claw Cafe, featuring Starbucks Coffees, fresh baked pastries and homemade fudge.
Be sure to pamper yourself at Elements, the Aveda concept spa salon located just outside the
waterpark. Guests can treat themselves to a therapeutic massage, facial, or spa nail
treatments.
