General Information:

The Duke Mansion was built in 1915 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The
rooms are residential in their dÃ©cor, appointed with beautiful artwork furnishings, giving
you a breathtaking image of what it was like to be a member of the prestigious Duke family who
made The Mansion their home. Mr. Duke?s most lasting legacies including Duke Energy, Duke
University and The Duke Endowment took shape while he lived in the home. A gorgeous example of
Colonial Revival architecture, at 32,000 square feet it is one of the largest private homes.
Most rooms have queen or king sized beds, all have private baths, exquisite linens, luxurious
robes. We say goodnight to you with a gourmet goodnight treat, and send you on your way with a
chef prepared breakfast in the morning all- included. An integral part of Charlotte's most
prestigious and beautiful neighborhood, and on 4 Â½ acres of beautiful grounds, The Mansion
has a professional culinary staff and beautiful public rooms than can accommodate family or
business celebrations of 10-300 guests. When you select The Duke Mansion, you are supporting a
nonprofit where all of the proceeds are used to preserve and protect it.

Dowd Suite(Suite): Our most elegant and luxurious bedroom, often the special spot for wedding and anniversarynights. Beautifully decorated, it features a king-size bed, sleeping porch, Roman spa tub,shower for two and a full chef prepared breakfast in the morning.

King Porch Guestroom(Standard Room): A luxurious 2nd floor bedroom featuring a king-sized bed, private bathroom and a relaxing screened porch overlooking the beautiful Duke Mansion grounds and gardens. Includes gourmet turn-down and chef prepared breakfast.
