General Information:
Family gatherings, romantic honeymoons, quiet getaways. YouÂll enjoy all of these at this
natural oceanfront setting subtly scented by the smell of salt air and pine. Wonderfully
casual yet remarkably sophisticated the 10 bedroom seaside inn is just 75 feet from the ocean.
Fifteen spacious cottages and cabins dot the shore or are hidden in the trees. The Rusticator
RestaurantÂs menu consists of a cosmopolitan mix of comfort food and fine dining overseen
by a chef who grew up in Maine and understands the subtleties of Maine cuisine. Very much the
look and feel of summers gone by, adults love dining at this historic restaurant. Families
appreciate their own dining room where children find it easy to meet other children. With
tradition still very much alive, you wonÂt want to miss the Thursday evening beach lobster
picnic. Our organic gardens supply the kitchen and tables with an abundant harvest from this
historic farmÂs rich soil. This is an escape to a place where time seems to stand still.
Great for families, great for romance. Destination weddings are a specialty. Welcoming
hospitality since 1889. Reservations in cottages during high season are MAP (include
breakfast, dinner, housekeeping, and firewood delivery). Rooms in the Inn include a full
breakfast. Off-season cottage reservations do not include meals or additional high season
services. Located on the Blue Hill Peninsula, 50 miles south of Bangor not far from Bar Harbor
and Acadia National Park.
