The Sarova Shaba Game Lodge is situated in the Shaba National Reserve,
Kenya. This Reserve is part of a conglomeration of reserves in the Eastern
Province, descending from Mt. Kenya, at the entrance to the vast scrub of
desert that reaches beyond L. Turkana. The Ewaso Nyiro river whose origin
is the northern slope of Mt. Kenya around the Nanyuki Township borders the
area. The river's name is derived from the local community's language. It
means the river of brown or muddy water.

Driving Directions
Nairobi Airport - NBO
Drive through Thika Road all the way past Sagana River, drive further north past Sagana town,
through Karatina. Take the road to Nanyuki past Kiganjo through Naromoru up to Nanyuki.
Proceed further North driving towards Timau and - proceed further to north and turnoff on
Meru, Isiolo junction and proceed to Isiolo town. From Isiolo Town take the Great North Road.
Before getting to Archer's Post Town turn right at the KWS - FCOY HQ and drive further towards
Natorbi Gate, 6 kilometers from the junction. From the gate, turn left, drive for another 2
kilometers and you are in sarova Shaba Lodge located on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River.
