General Information:
This building was the home to German and other immigrants who settled the Wenatchee valley
Leavenworth area a hundred years ago. Later, it was the first of the Bavarian themed buildings
that began the village*s birth as an authentic Bavarian Village tucked into the Alp like
Cascade Mountains of Washington State. Todays Hotel Edelweiss is a quiet alternative to those
strip motels on the highway. And the closest lodging to the park. In fact, its right on Front
Street. All rooms are on the second floor overlooking the village, and some overlooking the
park, where the fun is center in Leavenworth. The Hotel has been updated and redecorated as a
true European type lodging. You enter up a stairway to find 13 rooms. 7 are American style
with private baths and 6 are European Bath across the hall rooms. All are affordable, clean
and tidy. Plus, if you listen hard enough you might imagine the murmurs and movements of those
long ago pioneers. Some say the Hotel is haunted but we say its just more great fun in the
middle of the Bavarian Village activities. And did we mention the building is on the Park?
